After an amazing weekend, tragedy struck our family. Tanner, Boe's little brother, was killed in a tragic accident coming down Powder Mountain. We miss him so much and dont know what we are going to do without him. Life will never be the same. He was such a kind hearted and loving person. He was Boes best friend. They did everything together. Boe loved watching Tanner race and really just always being around him. He made it to any and every race he could and would skip work any chance he got to hang out with him. Although we wish he was still here, we know he is in a better place and would want us to be happy. That really doesnt seem possible at this point but we will do our best. I would do anything to still have him here with us.

I love you Tanner so so much. You were such an amazing person and I am so glad I got to be a part of your life. Please watch over Boe, I dont know what he will do without you.

Make it a priority to tell your loved ones how much you love them. Tragedy can strike at any time.

6 Years

None of us can believe that 6 years has already passed. Although a lot has changed in the last six years there is one thing that always has and always will stay constant and that is our love for Grandpa Richard. There was never a dull moment when Grandpa was around and I think all of us grandkids try our best to keep that alive. He was the best grandpa around and I miss him dearly. Although I definitely wish he was still around, I know he is in a better place and watching down on all of us proud as can be! I love you Grandpa Richard and cant wait till the day we meet again!

Happy 28th Carissa!

So yesterday was Carissa's 28th birthday and mom and I had a few things planned for the day. Mom got some cake mix and frosting so that Ada and her babysitter Jackie could make mommy a birthday cake to surprise her.

Mean while the night before I decided to get back at Carissa for tagging my car for my 18th and once they all got home from training i decided to go out and decorate her car. This was not an easy task considering it was dark out and Carissa and Luis kept coming out in the garage. But here are some pictures of the car.

Carissa woke up to these pretty flowers from Mom yesterday morning.

All in all i think she had a great birthday and next tuesday we will be going out for one big family birthday dinner cause there are just way to many August birthdays.

Golly... time flies!!

Well it's been a while since I was last here... not too much to update on. Of course Ada brings excitement to every day in our lives, but there are too many moments to capture & write down. She is growing up so fast! I am amazed at how smart she is! She talks so much and loves to tell stories. I remember one night, Mom, Britt, Luis and I were all sitting at the dinner table talking and little Ada was sitting at the head of the table repeating every word each of us said. It took all of us a bit to realize what she was doing, and at one point Britt said how she loved hearing the story twice. It was so funny! I now notice that when I am on the phone and she is in the same room as me, she'll copy my every word and repeat it to herself. I'll then hear her later when she's playing and she'll act like she's on the phone - she would be repeating the same things I would say. Her memory is phonomenal! One night she happened to be watching me change my clothes and noticed the pretty picture on mommy's back, she asks "what's that?" I told her it was a tattoo and of course, her next question is "why?". I immediately told her it was because mommy was a bad girl. A few days later, she noticed it again and said to me "Mommy tattoo! You bad girl - go time out chair now!" Ha ha ha - she got me!

She has quite the temper and if she ever gets into trouble by Grandpa - she usually gets a lecture (and we all know dad's lecturing tecnique - lol). She's learned a lot from those lectures... now when mommy says something Ada doesn't like, she comes over grabs my chin and says "Mommy, look at me! You listen to me! Be nice! Ok?" all while pointing her little finger in my face. Thanks dad!! =)

Twin Trip 09 what an adventure(:

Twin Trip 2009 was a success. We started out leaving thursday afternoon around tweleve. By the time we made it to primm we needed a shopping trip so we made a pit stop to check it out. We found us lots of sunglasses to accompany us on our journey to California. We stopped at MacD's to get us some food before we were back on the road again. The next stop was in Victorville for a potty && snack break. We stopped to take a few pictures in the restroom while we were at it. Back on the road again headed to the hotel but of course the mapquest told us to take a toll road and we just didnt like that so we decided to continue on and find our own way. We got a little lost at first but managed thanks to the help of Ashlee's G1 navigation. We finally arrived got checked in and decided we would head out for dinner. Our room was pretty nice except for the fact that we found some dog poop on the floor and some silverware on our one foot wide balcony. So on our way out we stopped by the front desk to let them know about what we had found && off to dinner we went. We saw this place called triangle square on our adventure to find our hotel so we decided it would be a good place to stop && it looked like it had some shopping. We decided the Chronic Cantina would be our choice for dinner tonight. I had some mini chimichangas that were really good and ash got some flautas, later that night she found out they werent to great after all. Our waitress sucked and all the girls looked as if they were on chronic while getting dressed for work.

After dinner we went down by the beach houses to watch the sunset && just put our feet in the sand. Newport beach beats a San Diego beach anyday but the water not so much its too cold for me. Ashlee had a migraine and we were a little tired from the ride so we decided to head back to the hotel and call it a night. Ashlee ended up getting sick but luckily it was only a few hours of that and then she was all better.

Day two of the trip we woke up got ready and headed out to Hollywood. The ride was really long and took about an hour an a half with traffic. We finally reached Hollywood and let me tell you its pretty ghetto. We started to walk the walk of fame and check out all the stars along the way. We were getting hungry and the only thing we found that even looked good enough to go in and eat was McDonalds. This would not be a good decision come to find out while we were in line some guy was making a racket in the back corner and he was actually trying to wake up a man sitting at a table. The man wasnt responding at all. The management then called the police, fire department and the ambulance and the area around us was evacuated. They couldnt get a pulse on the man and they ended up laying the guy down and giving him mouth to mouth. Right as they were about to bring out the shock plates to bring him back we decided our lunch wasnt worth finishing and we decided to head out. We arent sure if he actually survived or not but for all we know he was a dead guy. We continued on our hollywood walk and ashlee decided to take a picture with nacho libre for ada. I took a picture with an elvis statue. We walked just about the whole walk of fame even into the very ghetto area before turning around and heading back to our car. Next we were off to Robertson Blvd which Ashlee found was where all the stars went to shop. It took us about an hour to find but in the end we found it. We went into a few shops there before heading back to Costa Mesa. All this time in Hollywood and we didnt even happen to see the Hollywood sign up in the mountains. There was a mall with a bunch of shops next to our hotel so we went there after the long drive back. We found a really good place to eat called Cosi, and i had the best dang flatbread pizza ive ever had. Then we went out to do some shopping at Nordstrom rack, PacSun, and Tilly's. Then back to the room for the night.

Day three we decided fashion island would be our first stop, little did we know it would be a very overcast and rainy day. We were troopers and went shopping in the rain even though it was a little slippery and cold. First stop was one of my personal favorites Red Robin for lunch. We found out they dont make our favorites like they do in vegas. So off to shopping it was we went into this California Closet Boutique and we were talking to the guys in there they were pretty funny with their accents, and Ashlee found some nice stuff in there. Then we continued shopping. We went into one of the boutiques and happened to see two of the girls from the show newport harbor. Of course the only celebrities we would see and they arent even real celebrities.

After we finished up at fashion island we decided to head back to the hotel in hopes the weather would clear up some more before we got there so we could go out and get some sun at the beach. We got all ready, headed out to the beach and no such luck we laid out for about an hour but it was nothing but clouds and not even the clouds where you can get some sun.We decided we would head back to the room so we could get changed and head to dinner.

Dinner tonight was on the boating dock at the Rusty Pelican. we ended up getting dinner and a show because we saw two weddings happening on yachts out on the water. For dinner we had Cajun Shrimp, Garlic Bread, Prime Rib, and a Baked Potato. The dinner was very good and the people were nice. Next up was back to walk on the pier and do some more shopping. We found lots of good little souviners and watched a very beautiful sunset off the pier and we ended the night by getting frozen chocolate covered bananas, although we were both over it by about half way through. Back to the room it was to get packed up and ready to leave.

Finally on the way back home we got up about eight and got ready and headed out to the pier for one last final present and breakfast. Now were on our way back to vegas. The trip was alot of fun and it was good to get out of Vegas for a few days and just have fun. I realized how spoiled we are in Vegas through this trip though. I love the fact that we only have to pay for parking if were to lazy to walk and that it only takes one freeway to get somewhere for the most part. I also realized Las vegas is definitely the glamorous life and we are lucky to have all that we do and its actually pretty clean for the most part.

Spinach Poppy Seed Salad

Salad:
1 head of Romaine Lettuce
1 bunch of Spinach
½ Red Onion (sliced)
1 lb. of Monterey Jack Cheese (grated) (Can be substituted with swiss or mozzarella)
1 lb. of Bacon (cooked and crumbled)
6 oz. of Slivered Almonds
1 can of Mandarin Oranges (or other various fruits of your choice)

Mix all salad ingredients in a large bowl. Add dressing and almonds and toss the salad.

Dressing:
1/2 cup of Sugar
1 tsp. of Dry Mustard
1 tsp. of Salt
1/3 cup of Red Wine Vinegar
3/4 cup of Oil
1 1/2 tsp. of Poppy Seeds

Mix all ingredients but poppy seeds with a hand held mixer. After mixed, stir in poppy seeds.

Candied Almonds:
Mix ½ cup of sugar with 6 oz. of almonds in a pan. Turn on heat and stir continually until the mixture turns golden. Crack and sprinkle on salad.

Lilie's First Haircut

My cute little Lilie got her first haircut on Wednesday. She had been rolling around in the bushes and grass a lot and it was causing her hair to get mats. She is a very energetic dog which makes it very hard to brush her out. So when the groomer showed up I told her I wanted it short. When she came back I wanted to cry. She barely has any hair left. It has grown on me now and I still think she is as cute as ever, but I dont think I will be telling the groomer I want it short again! One good thing about getting groomed is she got a cute pink bow and she has even decided that she doesn't mind having it in her hair. :)

Crazy Spring/Summer Ahead

So I was looking at my calendar the other day and realized... I am going to have one busy spring/summer, starting this weekend. We are heading to California this weekend for Great Grandma Jackson's 80th Birthday. All the family is getting together to celebrate her big day.
The next trip is scheduled for about 2 weeks later. Boe's cousin is having a baby and I will be traveling to Salt Lake with the girls in his family to help throw her a baby shower.
Then we have Britt's High School Graduation the second week of June. I can't believe my baby sister is graduating and even more so that I have already been out of high school for 5 YEARS!!! I am so proud of her and can't wait to see what the future has in store for her! I know she will do great things! In honor of her graduation, I am following in the steps of my big sister and taking Britt to Cali for the weekend on June 18th. We are going to go shopping, lay out on the beach and go do the whole touristy LA thing. I can't wait. I know we will have such a blast.
Then the whole family will be headed back to Utah for the Langston Family Reunion on June 27th. It was our year to plan it and we decided to make it a little funner we are going to do a Cowboy theme.
My next trip is probably the one I am most excited about. I will be traveling out of the country for the first time in my life. Boe has been wanting to go to Whistler, Canada for quite some time now. We have talked about it several times but never actually planned a trip. Finally about two weeks ago we got together with his family and decided it was time to go. So on July 8th I will be headed to Whistler, Canada (provided I get my passport in time). Whistler is known for its world renowned ski resorts and is actually going to be the home of the next winter olympics, but we are definitely not snow people so we are going in the summer when temperatures are in the 80's not the 10's. Boe is excited to go mountain biking and I think all of us are really excited to go on the zipline. I am even thinking about going bungee jumping. I dont quite know about that one yet. I will however definitely be getting a massage. :)
And immediately following that adventure we will be headed back up to Utah again for my cousin Barbie's Wedding.
So... that is what my spring/summer adventures is looking like right now. I would love to add even more to the list, but I dont think I will have any money left after all of this! :)

Valentine's Present

So she was a little late... but this cute little girl arrived yesterday! She is so tiny and cute and I just can't get enough of her! She is a micro-yorkie and will hopefully only be about 2.5 lbs full grown. right now she probably weighs less than a pound. We still haven't thought of a good name, so if anyone has any suggestions, let me know!!!

WELCOME HOME GRANDMA(:

It was great i went home and got as many clothes as i could that we could wear to the airport it was alot of fun. I think im going to start a service where i dress up to go pick up people at the airport (: i think it would be funny to pick up like basketball teams && stuff like that (: But Welcoem home guys(: hope you all enjoy our outifts. Dick's - Britt's Birthday Dinner

We all went to Dick's for Britt's Birthday dinner on Saturday... it was a blast! The food's not all that great, but the service is unforgetable!

Today is Adalynn's 2nd birthday. So in honor of Ada's big day, I thought I would write down the things I love most about her.

- I love the way she gives bear hugs and then pierces her lips to give you a kiss.

- I love that she shares the love of dance with me.

- I love that she is such a happy baby.

- I love the was she says my name.

- I love how she is Miss Independent.

- I love how smart she is.

- I love everything about this amazing little girl I call my niece.

Happy New Year!!

Hard to believe we are already almost half way through January. Our family had a wonderful Christmas this year, even though mom made us think is was going to be sucky! haha I think we all knew better than that!! It was a very busy day for the Fesler Family! On Christmas morning we all met at mom and dads and opened our presents. Adalynn I think slept in the longest. She was just waking up when Boe and I got there. I think Adalynn made out pretty well this year and probably got everything she could possibly want including a bike (with helmet of course), a scooter, a portable dvd player (so everyone doesn't have to watch Ada movies every minute of our lives) and lots of clothes. After we opened presents, dad made a wonderful breakfast. Boe and I left shortly after breakfast and headed over to his families house. He has a big family, so opening present over there definitely took some time. I would say almost 3 hours. haha After everyone was finished opening their presents, Britt and I headed up to Utah to spend the rest of the day at Grandma Pats. It was so fun to get together with all of my dads family. Grandma Pat always spoils us every year and we just love it. After dinner and present opening over there, we headed to Grandpa Clairs. We all got our favorite Christmas present of the day... a package of Scotts toilet paper. :) Grandpa assured me I would love it. Dad and I stayed the night in Utah while Mom, Britt, Carissa, Luis and Ada all went back home to Vegas. Carissa and Brittney had to work the next day unfortunately. The next morning Grandma Pat and I went shopping at a cute little store called Krumpet and to Pier 1. I got some really cute Christmas ornaments for next year to put on my tree. (all that was on it this year were lights) The best part was that they were all on sale and CHEAP!!! All in all, Christmas was so fun this year. Adalynn was old enough to kind of enjoy it and I had fun helping her open her mountain of presents.

Next on our agenda is Adalynn's 2nd birthday. It is so hard to believe that 2 years have already past. She is going to have her birthday party this weekend at the park near mom and dads house. I am sure it will be a blast and she will probably have another mountain of present to tackle!

Well I hope everyone is having a good new year! We can't wait to see what this year has in store for our family. I have a feeling there will be a lot of changes in 2009 and it will probably be one of the best years yet!
